Compact unit supports all XDCAM file formats
The PDW-U2 extends the IT credentials of XDCAM by offering a simple and portable drive that can be used with a PC or Mac for viewing purposes (using free Sony software) or full read/write access with a compatible NLE. Complementary to the of the hugely successful PWD-U1, the PDW-U2 also supports the use of Quad Layer and Dual layer XDCAM Professional Disc media, offering capacity of up to 128 GB. Rewritable Triple layer discs will be supported at a later stage.
