Versatility

The VPL-CX155 projector is ideal for use in the office, executive boardroom, classroom, gymnasium or even a mid-size auditorium due to its exceptional picture quality, multiple inputs / outputs and useful features.

High brightness

The VPL-CX155's innovative 0.79" HTPS 3LCD panels have contrast compensator filter, large diameter high resolution lens with Advance Crisp Focus (ACF) capabilities and a high efficiency lamp (LMP-C200). It can produce up to 3500 ANSI Lumens of brightness for clear, bright and crisp images every time and in any environment.

Flexible inputs and outputs

You can connect the VPL-CX155 with other AV equipment via features such as audio output, RS232C for control, and a range of inputs including composite video, S-Video and component video (via 15 pin D-sub). You can link the audio output connector to an external speaker system to further enhance the user experience with high quality sound to accompany the images on screen.

The VPL-CX155 projector can display the image simultaneously on a large screen and on an additional monitor (via a 15-pin D Sub connection), so you can face the audience and still see the information being shown.

RJ45 Network capability allows this model to connect to any LAN network providing the ability to send content from your PC through your network to the VPL-CX155. Applications include data transfer, remote conferencing, point of sale, distance learning / distance sharing (multi-class room projection).

RJ45 also allows you to remotely manage and control the VPL-CX155 over your network.

The magic of Sony 3LCD technology

The Sony VPL-CX155 adopts a 3LCD system using three 0.79-inch LCD Panels, also known as high-temperature polysilicon or HTPS. A 3LCD projector uses diachronic mirrors to divide white light emitted from a high-density lamp into three basic colours of Red, Green and Blue. The beams pass through three LCD (HTPS) panels before being reassembled by a prism and projected onto the screen.

3LCD projectors achieve fine-gradation in dark areas while the high light efficiency ensures good focus and vivid colours, even in normal lighting conditions. 3LCD technology avoids the 'rainbow effect' or colour separation to the final image that can affect some other projection technologies, such as DLP. Images produced on a 3LCD system are bright, create more natural colours and are gentler on the eyes.
